Interested in being the key to helping someone make a new start?

Release from prison is a disorientating and daunting experience; many are unsure of the direction they want to take in life and do not know who will be there to meet them . . . if anyone! We currently have exciting opportunities for volunteer mentors to work with individuals who are preparing for release from prison into Cornwall, Devon or West Somerset.  As a volunteer mentor you would work with an individual from inside prison, through the gate and into the community, supporting them in making a new start to live a life free from crime, and free from prison.
 

Volunteering

We welcome volunteers from all walks of life: what they have in common is the desire to help people.  They offer support, understanding, knowledge and a non judgemental approach.  They are good listeners and they are trained to empower individuals in order to aid their resettlement into the community.
